Arnold Dallimore was the pastor of the Baptist Church at Cottam in Ontario, Canada for many years, but since his retirement has devoted his time to writing. He has written popular biographies on Spurgeon and Irving and his definitive two-volume biography of Whitefield has been widely acclaimed.

This book is an outstanding biography of one of the greatest Anglican pastors and hymn writers. It covers a great deal of the personal and spiritual journeys of his life. He is too often overshadowed by his famous brother John. This book will be an enjoyable read and within Logos it integrates well for biblical research.
